Melanie has worked at Jim King Realty since she was in high school in the late 80s. She is a graduate of Chiefland High School, Santa Fe Community College and the University of Florida with a degree in Elementary Education. In 1995 she began teaching 2^nd Grade at Chiefland Elementary School and that same year she also obtained her Real Estate Appraiser license. She taught school and did appraisals on the side until 2005 when her dad encouraged her to get a Sales Associate license and in 2006 she gave up teaching and appraising to focus on real estate sales full time. In 2018, again with her dad’s push, she received her Broker’s license. Recently she has also acquired the designation of Certified Residential Specialist.

She is married, her and husband Louie, have 4 children ranging in age from 25 to 13. She is a member of the Chiefland Woman’s Club and the Chiefland Chamber of Commerce.
